Media houses may feature SSAI certified schools, subject to the following principles and conditions, which are intended to protect the interests of schools, SSAI, and the public, and to ensure accurate and responsible communication. 1. Verification of Certification Status- Before publishing or broadcasting any content that refers to a school as “SSAI certified” or as holding any SSAI related status, the media house shall: • Verify the current validity of the school’s certification using official SSAI channels (for example, the SSAI Certified Schools Directory on the SSAI platform or by written confirmation from SSAI); and • Ensure that the scope and level of certification are described accurately and not presented in a misleading, exaggerated, or incomplete manner. SSAI reserves the right to decline or correct any description that may create confusion about the nature, scope, duration, or status of its certification. 2. Use of SSAI Name, Marks, and References- Any use of the SSAI name, logo, certification mark, or similar identifiers in connection with media features, articles, reports, or programs: • Shall be strictly subject to SSAI’s prior written consent, and • Shall comply with SSAI’s brand, logo usage, and communication guidelines, as may be notified or provided from time to time. No media feature shall imply endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership by SSAI unless such relationship has been expressly agreed to in writing by SSAI. 3. Accuracy, Fair Representation, and Context- Media houses undertaking coverage of SSAI certified schools shall ensure that: • All statements relating to SSAI, its standards, frameworks, and certifications are factually accurate, not misleading, and presented in proper context; • The coverage does not attribute to SSAI any responsibility, guarantee, or warranty beyond what is formally stated in SSAI’s documentation and public communications; and • Editorial content is balanced and consistent with applicable journalistic, legal, and regulatory standards, including laws relating to child protection, privacy, and data protection. 4. Consent and Safeguarding of Children and Schools- Media houses shall obtain all necessary permissions and consents from the featured schools and, where applicable, from parents/guardians and other relevant stakeholders, particularly when: • Filming, photographing, or interviewing children or school staff; or • Disclosing identifiable information about students or staff members. Media houses are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to child rights, privacy, data protection, and safeguarding, and shall refrain from any content that may compromise the dignity, safety, or privacy of children or school communities. 5. Requests for Information or Collaboration- Media houses wishing to: • Confirm or clarify the certification status of any school; • Request permission to use SSAI’s name, logo, or certification marks; or • Explore structured media collaborations (such as series, campaigns, or special features on school safety and certified schools), may contact SSAI at: Email: info@school-safety.org. Any such engagement shall be subject to SSAI’s internal review, due diligence, and, where appropriate, the execution of a written agreement setting out terms of use, editorial boundaries, intellectual property, confidentiality, and liability limitations.

Yes. Subject to applicable laws, internal approvals, and mutually agreed terms and conditions, SSAI may engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) collaborations with corporate entities that have CSR mandates relating to schools, education, child safety, and community development. Without prejudice to SSAI’s right to accept, modify, or decline any proposal at its sole discretion, CSR collaboration opportunities may include, inter alia: 1. Funding of School Safety and Child Care Programs- Corporates may, subject to prior written agreement, provide CSR funding to: • Sponsor SSAI School Safety and Early Education & Child Care Management System subscriptions or programs for eligible schools and centres, particularly in: a. Rural areas b. Semi urban areas c. Economically challenged urban communities • Support implementation of school safety management frameworks, risk assessments, and related improvement plans. The specific scope, selection criteria, reporting obligations, branding/acknowledgment, and compliance with local CSR regulations shall be clearly set out in a binding written instrument. 2. Support for Infrastructure and Safety Enhancements- CSR partners may fund or co fund initiatives aimed at: • Upgrading school infrastructure to improve safety (for example, emergency exits, safety signage, basic safety equipment, accessible facilities, etc.); • Providing safety kits, emergency preparedness materials, and basic health and safety resources to schools and early education centres. All such initiatives shall be aligned with SSAI’s technical standards and frameworks, and shall be implemented under appropriate governance, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms, as agreed in writing. 3. Capacity Building, Training, and Awareness Programs- Corporates may support: • Training programs, workshops, and drills for school staff, students, and community stakeholders on school safety, emergency preparedness, and child protection; • Awareness campaigns and educational content on school and child safety, developed and delivered in collaboration with SSAI and/or approved partners. The content, methodology, and communication shall be subject to SSAI’s review and approval to ensure consistency with SSAI’s standards and child safeguarding principles. 4. Programmatic and Long Term Partnerships- Subject to satisfactory technical and commercial feasibility and completion of due diligence, SSAI may enter into longer term CSR partnerships with corporates to: • Co design and implement multi year safety improvement programs for targeted geographies or school clusters; • Pilot and scale innovative models for school safety, early education safety, and child protection; • Conduct impact assessments and continuous improvement initiatives in line with agreed key performance indicators. Such partnerships shall be governed by detailed contracts or Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) that address, at a minimum, scope of work, roles and responsibilities, funding and disbursement, timelines, intellectual property, confidentiality, compliance, monitoring, evaluation, termination, and financial and legal safeguards for SSAI. 5. General Conditions and Reservation of Rights- • All CSR collaborations are subject to applicable CSR legislation/regulations, education and child protection laws, and any other relevant statutory requirements. • SSAI will undertake appropriate legal, financial, and reputational due diligence before entering into any CSR arrangement. • Nothing in this statement shall be construed as an offer or commitment by SSAI to collaborate with any particular corporate entity. SSAI reserves the absolute right to decline, modify, or discontinue any proposed or ongoing collaboration, in accordance with contractual terms and applicable law. This approach helps ensure that the information displayed continues to reflect the verified status of the school. If your school needs to update its profile or contact information, please follow this process: 1. Send an email to info@school-safety.org from an official and verifiable school email address. 2. Clearly specify: • The current details on record, and • The exact changes requested (e.g., updated address, phone number, official email, contact person, designation). 3. The SSAI global administrator will review and, if appropriate, update the information from the backend of the platform. Once the changes have been completed, the school will receive a confirmation email. The updated details can then be verified by logging in to the assessment portal and reviewing the school’s profile.
